Positive Reviews

An original experience

If you are seeking a unique way of experiencing Amsterdam without breaking the bank, this might just be it. Guests love the originality of this houseboat, running almost exclusively by solar power, which the owner has seemingly built for the most part by himself. It offers a welcome relief for many to escape from the busy city centre, relax in the nature and sleep under sea-level!

Surprisingly nicely furnished

Guests are often pleasantly surprised by the quality of the furnishings and facilities on a simple houseboat. As well as a huge flat screen TV, connected to the Internet, you also have an adjustable electric bed and a small fridge. Each room is nicely decorated in an individual theme too.

Delightful hosts

Guests find the hosts to be absolutely adorable and proud of their unique houseboat. They really take care of you and give you lots of advice as to what to do and where to go.

Negative Reviews

A bit far from the centre

Even if it was of little concern to them, if you like to be right in the heart of the action, guests warn you may find that this place is a bit far out of the centre of Amsterdam.

Accessibility issues

If you have mobility problems, guests suggest that this place may be tricky to access. The steps are steep, whilst the walk from the parking area is not very straightforward and can be muddy. You may also have difficulties finding the place, even if equipped with a GPS.

Small rooms

Even if the place is cosy and original, don't expect to have much space to stretch out in your bedroom!
