Positive Reviews

Great design hotel

Guests at V frederiksplein were impressed with the hotel’s urban cool interior design, typography, use of organic products and overall clean and modern presentation.

Young and friendly staff

The young team members know their way about town and are glad to share their favourite spots with you, in addition to providing first-class customer service.

Central but nice and quiet

This spot in Amsterdam’s central canal ring puts you close enough to walk to highlights like the Rijksmuseum, Heineken Experience and central party spots, but leaves you out of the tourist throngs Cafe Kale opposite seems to be good based on the number of name drops from guests.

Top-quality breakfast

Served in the lounge overlooking the street, the breakfast features top-quality ingredients, home-baked bread, cold buffet goods and Dutch-standard coffee.

Negative Reviews

Standard rooms small

Chances are, you will find standard rooms at V frederiksplein quite small, and especially those found in the basement.

Insufficient lighting for some

A small number of guests would have like to have seen more lighting in rooms, particularly in the basement rooms where the natural light was minimal.

Small niggles to keep an eye on

While these have not been common complaints and not major issues at that, the bathroom floors have been known to flood during showering, the rooms at front could hear a little noise from the tram, and the Wi-Fi is occasionally a little patchy.
