Positive Reviews

Good Looks and Nice Staff

Newcomers loved the overall look of this boutique property, which seems to be very much in keeping with the funky Jordaan area itself. Clean and modern without being bland, this hotel certainly has character. In addition to its good looks, guests also commented that staff were consistently friendly and helpful.

Central but Quiet

This hotel was also praised for its overall location in Amsterdam. Great for the bars and boutiques of the Jordaan but still handy for the sights of the city centre, guests found that there was still enough distance between the two areas to ensure a relatively peaceful, quiet stay.

With Compliments

Guests were gratified to find that this hotel offered quite a lot of freebies. Internet is one thing, but the tea and coffee facilities in the lobby – which dispensed fresh, quality products – were a huge hit. Departing guests also really liked the doggy bags of goodies doled out by the reception team.

Negative Reviews

Small Bathrooms

The layout of this property isn’t without its surprises and the bathrooms here were an unwelcome shock. The sheer size of these facilities caught many completely off-guard. Arriving guests really struggled in these small units, with newcomers even having to battle for space in which to store shampoo.

Internal Noise

Guests reported that internal noise was an issue at this property. Everything – from the slamming of doors to the creaking of this period property’s floorboards – seemed to drift into rooms. This somewhat tarnished the overall peaceful and tranquil ambience of this hotel.
