Positive Reviews

OK facilities

It’s clean … which is the main thing …and there’s free Wi-Fi in the lobby; you can get day and night food and drink here, as well. The breakfast choice seems to have something for everyone.

There’s a wonderful world outside!

You've got great choices and no way are you limited to what the hostel has to offer. Within a few yards, there are restaurants, bars and mini markets so, whatever the budget, you won’t starve … or die of thirst!

Near a busy centre

You can walk to Alexanderplatz, or it’s a couple of stops on the underground. The attraction is that it is a centre for transport, so, from here, Berlin is your oyster.

Negative Reviews

Misleading photos

When photographing the rooms, the camera must have been set to maximum enlargement because, actually, rooms that appear to be large and spacious, are small, cramped and disappointing. Furnishings may be charitably described as ‘minimalist’.

Check out the check out time

This is advertised as being at 11 am but, unless you dig your heels in, over enthusiastic cleaners will try and hoof you out any time after 9 am.

A tale of two neighbourhoods

Alexanderplatz is a pleasant and interesting area but, having said that, everything then goes downhill The surroundings of the hostel are dark, unwelcoming and seemingly devoid of residents … eerie!

Mini moans aplenty!

Moans include: don’t count on car parking being available and if it isn’t, prepare yourself for a long walk after finding a space Watch the prices of food and drink; prepare for a short walk to a bar and get it much cheaper.
