Positive Reviews

Exemplary members of staff

This is a frill-free accommodation option. Good points include the very helpful and friendly members of staff, lots of free parking, surprisingly good Wi-Fi plus, of course, affordability.

Lots of room

The room is spacious and the air conditioning is effective. Bed linen and towels are very clean.

Negative Reviews

A Learning Curve

If you are after any form of nightlife, you need to take a taxi or bus in to Boston. There is nothing very much happening here. The suggested solution when you complain about the heat is to open a window – but, at ground floor level, the security implications are immense. Breakfast is something of a non-event, so if you arrive late and find that everything has gone, at least you haven’t missed much! The learning centres of Boston University and Cambridge College are, respectively, approximately three and four miles away. Upon departure, you may feel that you too have learned some lessons.

On the carpet over cleanliness weaknesses

There are some cleanliness issues in the room and furnishings are approaching dilapidation. The TV is lacking many channels, there are holes in the wall and the carpets must have begun to show their age some years ago.

Seeing the light

The motel is old and musty and has that aroma of decay throughout. There is no lift so the question of accessibility for elderly and infirm guests is an issue. Also, it fronts onto a busy road and so noise can be a further problem. It’s pointless asking for a back room because they are noisy too. Alarm bells always ring when hotel rooms are dimly lit. Here, lighting and guest enthusiasm are sometimes both subdued.
