Positive Reviews

Unique decor and design

The hostel is themed around trains and this includes accommodation offered in old train cabins. Many guests state their primary reason for booking this property was due to this unique and quirky design, and enjoy the train memorabilia decorating the rooms and common areas.

Very clean and new

The property is repeatedly described as being immaculately clean with a modern and new feel to the facilities. Guests report the facilities to be excellent across the board, particularly mentioning the bathrooms and guest kitchen having equipment in excellent condition.

Professional and friendly staff

Guests of this hostel frequently praise the friendly, welcoming and professional manner of the staff. Dozens of reviews point out the high level of customer service and state it makes a stay at this property very comfortable and homely, with staff always keen to assist guest needs and queries.

Negative Reviews

No lift on the property

The hostel does not feature a lift to assist guests onto higher floors, the only option is stairs. Many guests comment upon the lack of lift being a hindrance especially when transporting luggage on arrival or departure. Reviews suggest a lift would make the upper floors a lot more accessible for guests.

Three tier bunk beds

The bunk beds in the dormitories of this hostel are triple beds with three layers. Several guests have criticised these three tier bunks for being too cramped and impossible to sit up on. Moreover, guests also find it a fair amount of effort to climb up onto the top tier.

Far from city centre

Located in the neighbourhood of Schaerbeek, the property is quite a distance from central Brussels and many of its tourist attractions. Guests criticise the amount of time and money it takes to get to the city centre each day.
