Located in the older part of Dubai, near the airport and the gold souk, Fortune Pearl Hotel is a mid-range property offering modern accommodation with sleek wood flooring and decent leisure amenities.

The well-appointed rooms feature flat screen TVs, tea/coffee stations, hairdryers and many other practical amenities.

The star feature at Fortune Pearl Hotel is undoubtedly its rooftop pool, where guests can go for a refreshing dip or laze away in a sun bed. Active guests also have the use of a fitness centre.

The hotel is a popular nightspot, with four bars and nightclubs onsite. There is also a restaurant and café where guests can enjoy all three meals.

The hotel is near Dubai Creek, where the city originally arose around a trading port. The trading spirit of the past is still alive and well in its street markets and souks, the most famous of which is the not to be missed gold souk.

High standards of cleanliness

Guests were in agreement that the housekeeping staff here did a great job. They reported that their room was perfectly clean on arrival and tended to stay that way during the course of their stay.

Decent practical location

Although the hotel is not in the tourist area of Dubai, guests liked the location for its practical benefits. It was said to be close to the metro, which could transport guests to other areas in the city, and also had a good selection of restaurants and other amenities very nearby.

Beds were very comfortable

Guests were generally very impressed with the mattresses selected by the hotel, saying that they provided great comfort, resulting in a restful night’s sleep.

Negative Reviews

Noise from the many nightclubs

Guests reported that the hotel has a number of nightclubs on its premises. These were said to generate a lot of noise late at night that was not entirely confined to the clubs themselves. As a result, some guests, especially on the lower floors, had their sleep disrupted.

Relatively poor value

Guests were a little unhappy with the value for money they received here. The main complaint was that they believed other hotels in the area offering similar accommodation and services had room rates quite a bit lower than this hotel.

Reception staff are very slow

Guests complained that both check-in and check-out was painfully slow process. It didn’t even seem to matter whether there were many other guests in line who needed to be served first, since even a single check in/out seemed to take forever.
