Hotel Makkah Towers (Makkah, Saudi Arabia)

Guests love the location of this hotel close to the Great Mosque Almasjid Alharam  making it an ideal place to stay for families performing Umrah. The Hilton Shopping Mall is just nearby. The rooms are large and perfect for large groups and families. Some rooms have panoramic Haram views that many guests love while others  feature lovely city views.

According to many guests, the staff at this hotel is simply awesome. The front desk staff is highly efficient and professional, handling check-ins and checkouts smoothly, a big plus due to the sometimes large number of guests staying here. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job maintaining high cleanliness standards in the rooms and common spaces. Housekeeping staff mostly hangs around the corridors and guests can request for specific services on tap.

Although this is an older property, guests say that the large prayer hall and the restaurants are in great shape.

Guests have been apprehensive about the hotel charging for the Wi-Fi in the rooms, which they say is unusual in a high-end property. Further, the hotel gives guests a code to use with the Wi-Fi but neglects to mention that failure to use the code results in very steep rates charged.

This hotel is a large complex with a maze of elevators to take guests from one tower to another. Guests say that navigating their way around with nobody to help with directions can be frustrating. This is made worse when some of the elevators break down.

Several  guests have reported that it's rather difficult to get a room of your choice here.
