    The staff here has an excellent, friendly spirit that makes guests feel very welcome. Both in-house staff and concierge services are top class, friendly with guests, and go out of their way to help guests enjoy their stay.

    Though the Shangri-La's Villingili Resort & Spa is very tastefully designed and blends harmoniously with the tropical surrounding, the outdoor facilities such as the infinity pool, one-of-a-kind golf course and water activities are what guests enjoy the most. Guests can enjoy a variety of water activities in the azure waters for hours on end and enjoy scenic outdoor views.

    The food at the hotel is superb. Jaavu, and all day dining restaurant, specializes in western dishes while Dr. Ali's serves unforgettable Asian delicacies. Fresh seafood is served at Fashal Lounge on select nights.

    Some guests have reported that the resort's beach is riddled with small stones and mud in some places making it difficult to walk in the water or swim.

    Catching a flight to and from Male International Airport takes a minimum of 70 minutes, and can take as long as two hours when the skies are turbulent. Some guests prefer shorter flights so that they can get to their destinations still feeling fresh.
