Review summary
Summarized by AI from 200+ reviews
Nestled in a picturesque riverside location with historic water mill workings, this hotel offers a tranquil escape that belies its convenient proximity to major transport links. It is particularly well-suited for airport travelers seeking a pre-flight stopover, event attendees visiting nearby Donington Park Circuit or attending on-site weddings, and couples looking for a romantic and peaceful setting. Dog owners will also find the hotel accommodating, especially in the dedicated cottage rooms. Guests frequently highlight the beautiful grounds, the generally friendly staff, and the convenient airport access as key advantages. While some rooms offer comfortable beds and the food quality receives mixed but often positive feedback, it is advisable to confirm dining options and make reservations in advance, as menus can be limited and events may impact service.
