The hotel is located in the historical part of the city being a short walk away from many of the landmarks including art galleries and museums. Guests who were keen to sample the local bars and restaurants were pleased to find lots of local amenities on their doorstep whilst those who wanted to explore further afield found it convenient being close to the metro station. .
Guests were complimentary about the hotel's communal areas most notably the bar and the lobby which they said were tastefully decorated and had a pleasant atmosphere. Many appreciated the numerous works of art adorning the walls and took the time to wonder through the building admiring the famous paintings. .
The rooms have been described as spacious with high ceilings and large windows adding to the light and airy feel of the suites. Guests said that the rooms and bathrooms were clean and well-presented and appreciated the efforts of the housekeeping staff in keeping their rooms looking tidy for the duration of their stay. .
Some guests were disappointed to find that their rooms overlooked the hotel's car park or the glass roof at the back of the building. If you are keen on a nice view then it's advisable to let the staff know prior to booking. .
Those whose rooms were on the lower floors and facing the street said that they were often disturbed by traffic noise and were reluctant to open their windows as the noise prevented some from getting a good night's sleep.
Some of the guests mentioned that the carpets in their rooms were looking rather worn and were stained whilst others objected to scuff marks on the walls. .
