Spacious and airy rooms.

All nine rooms at Theoxenia Hotel are light, airy and exceptionally clean. The décor is drawn from a traditional Greek Mediterranean palette and really helps to set the mood for a true Santorini holiday experience. Most rooms also feature balconies or terraces to take full advantage of the exceptional views of the entire area.

Personal and knowledgeable service.

The hotel is family owned and the service is exceptionally warm and friendly and very down to earth. Every staff member ensures that all needs are seen to promptly and are able to give invaluable advice of the entire area so that guests get to enjoy the real Santorini regardless of the time of year.

Delightful in-room breakfast.

Breakfast is served each morning in the rooms and this is a fantastic way to enjoy the first meal of the day, on the balcony enjoying the stunning views of the Fira Mountains, the bay or the iconic Greek architecture in the town below. Truly an unforgettable experience.

Negative Reviews

Pedestrianized alley can be noisy.

The hotel is located within a pedestrianized alley and above a row of shops. This can present somewhat of a noise issue, particularly at night.

Bathroom taps can be hard to control.

A common complaint involves rather difficult shower and basin taps which can be hard to control in terms of hot to cold ratios as well as the actual volume of water. This can make showering a bit tricky and also wastes a great deal of water while finding the correct balance between hot and cold.

Some bathrooms in need of maintenance or update.

Some of the en-suite bathrooms are in need of some maintenance or even an update, with some broken tiles, mould and mildew and leaking taps presenting the majority of the issues.
