About Hotel Wawel

Hotel Wawel acts as a travel-friendly hub for Krakow's Old Town area, and features a unique Art Nouveau aesthetic. The hotel includes spa facilities, a summer garden area, and a health club, and is situated on one of the city's quieter streets.

Every room features a climate control system, a bathroom with a contemporary style, and a wall-mounted LCD television.

Hotel Wawel is furnished with a massage area, hot tubs, and a Turkish bath facility. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the hotel.

Continental breakfast is offered at Wawel Tourist, and consists of both hot and cold selections. The breakfast area doubles as the hotel's in-house restaurant, The Black Duck, which serves a variety of traditional Polish meals.

Positive Reviews

Interiors are immaculate.

Main rooms (including laundered sheets and bedding materials) and their attached bathroom areas are remarkably clean, as are the tiled floor sections throughout the hotel. Distilled water bottles are placed in each room daily.

A historical nexus.

Wawel Tourist's proximity to Krakow's Old Town makes sightseeing a breeze, and offers firsthand access to the district's famous Rynek Glowny square, as well as the nearby castle and church. The city's historic roots, grounded in both medieval and modern a

Service with a smile.

Staff and service members are always on-hand to provide assistance, and their knowledge of the area aids greatly in planning your itinerary. In addition, the staff speaks fluent English, which should assuage your language barrier fears.

Negative Reviews

Cramped quarters.

While most beds are noted as being particularly comfortable and well-furnished, the overall room size leaves something to be desired for some guests. Other rooms appear to be undersized for their intended purpose, or feature two single beds pressed togeth

Jacuzzi service is inconsistent.

If you're hoping to use the hotel's Jacuzzi or steam bath facilities, you should book the services in advance. Even if this precaution is taken, however, the Jacuzzi seems to be infrequently unavailable due to maintenance.

Unintended alarm clocks.

Most rooms foster relaxing sleep, but several guests report being situated near the Old Town's church, which includes hourly bell tolling. Some walls also lack proper noise insulation, meaning peace and quiet is contingent upon your neighbours.
