About The Slaughters Manor House

The Slaughters Manor House is a 17th-century manor-house hotel in the very heart of the Cotswold countryside.

Rooms and suites here are en-suite with free Wi-Fi, iPod dock, colour television and DVD player.  Some suites enjoy the comforts of a private garden.

Outside, there is a landscaped garden and croquet lawn, whilst inside The Slaughters Manor House, the lounges are places for relaxation.

Full-cooked  is one of the breakfast choices served in the restaurant.  Later, afternoon teas are on offer and evening dining features imaginative menus which incorporate the wealth of fresh seasonal produce to be found locally.

From Lower Slaughter, the Cotswold villages of Bourton-on-the-water, Stow-on-the-Wold and many others, are easily accessed along with attractive towns such as Cheltenham and Cirencester.

Positive Reviews

The real Cotswolds.

Not ‘on the edge of’ or at the ‘gateway to’; ... you can’t get more immersed in the true Cotswolds than here in Lower Slaughter. The bonuses, though, just keep on coming in the form of this beautiful manor house hotel. It is totally in keeping with what you hoped and imagined it would be like.

A dining experience.

The food here is exceptional, a fact highlighted by the kitchen’s talented chefs. Innovative and mouth watering, the food is memorable.

Lovely staff.

Friendly, welcoming and totally professional, you have every confidence in them, whether they are management, cleaning the rooms or serving in the restaurant.

Negative Reviews

Where’s the bar?.

There is no bar. They’ll serve you drinks of course, but the convivial atmosphere enjoyed only in a bar setting, just doesn’t exist. Also, when it happens, the drinks service is excruciatingly slow. By the time it arrives, you’ve probably gone off it!

No tea and coffee facilities.

There are no facilities in the room. The only reason for this must be that they have an excuse for clobbering you with an extra cost when you order some. This doesn't impress + they could rectify the situation easily – and immediately!

Could be really special.

Sadly, it’s only OK + vastly overpriced. Lack of service and cutlery, nobody to ask, go and get it yourself. Not really acceptable in a seaside B+B, let alone here!
