Positive Reviews

Rooms are spacious and clean

Although the rooms are not in the five-star luxury category, guests do like the amount of space they have to relax and unwind after a long day. The cleanliness of the rooms also wins praise from guests.

Making a difference

To support such a worthy cause, and to be involved in making a difference to young lives is a big part of why guests are happy to stay here. They often say the youngsters learning the ropes of working in hospitality are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The management reportedly seem to be invested in running this place well, too.

Great location

The surrounding area is great for travellers who want to experience an authentic local vibe, according to reviews. There's a street market within a short walk of the guest house. Other attractions nearby include shopping malls, museums and the zoo.

Negative Reviews

Noisy surroundings

Loudspeakers from a nearby church start early on in the morning, which can cause a nuisance for light sleepers. Guests also complain about the busy street outside causing a bit of a disturbance at various times of day due to vehicles coming and going.

Lift grumbles

Those who stay any higher than ground floor level complain of having to walk, sometimes up to five flights of stairs, in order to reach their rooms. There is lift access but reviewers say the facility is often out of bounds due to maintenance and improvement work.

Some facilities disappoint

The cable TVs and free Wi-Fi reportedly don't work very well most of the time. According to visitors, the TVs very rarely offer a clear picture. Those who want to access the Wi-Fi occasionally note that doing so is difficult due to a spotty signal.
