Library Hotel

The Library Hotel is located at Madison Ave and 41st Street in Midtown Manhattan. The hotel maintains a collection of 6000+ books and uses the Dewey Decimal System (DDS) as a basis for organizing both its books and its 60 guestrooms. Each of 10 floors has a theme that corresponds to the DDS, and each room contains books related to that theme. Guests on the 9th floor can thus expect to find books on history. Guests interested in philosophy - including love as well as logic - might request a room on the 11th floor.

Accommodations range from 200-sq-ft singles to 350-sq-ft junior suites. Amenities include bathrobes, bottled water, chocolates, flat-panel TVs, in-room safes, minibars, and high-speed Internet. Services include a breakfast buffet, an evening wine and cheese service, and refreshments throughout the day - all complimentary. Guess passes to the New York Sports Club are available on request. The Madison and Vine Restaurant is located on premises.

The hotel offers easy access to the Empire State Building, Times Square, and the Broadway theater district. Bus and subway service to more distant parts of the city are available at Grand Central Station, just one block away.
