About Osaka Garden Palace

The Osaka Garden Palace is set in a modern urban tower in the low-key Yodogawa Ward in the north of the city. A grand lobby and two on-site dining options are this casual three-star’s hotel’s most impressive features.

Straightforward guest rooms with light decor provide flat-screen TVs and work desks, as well as mini-fridges and tea/coffee-making facilities. Superior rooms boast massage chairs whilst suites offer seating areas. Traditional accommodations with futon beds and tatami floors are also available.

Amenities include safe deposit boxes, public-use PCs and off-street parking (at a fee). Property-wide Wi-Fi and shuttle bus services to/from the train station are both offered free of charge.

Western and Japanese buffet breakfasts are served each day. Communal microwaves are located on each floor.

The Osaka Garden Palace is just over half-a-mile from Shin-Osaka train station and around five miles from the historic Osaka Castle.

Positive Reviews

Free shuttle bus is very handy indeed

The vast majority of guests who've stayed here have applauded the hotel for operating a very punctual and — best of all — completely free shuttle bus service to and from Shin-Osaka train station. It runs every 15 minutes so waiting around isn't a concern either.

Top-notch soundproofing does the trick

Although this hotel is located very close to the Sanyo Shinkansen train line, you don't need to worry about hearing bullet trains whizz past at all hours of the day and night. Indeed, a great many visitors said the soundproofing here is so good that they heard virtually nothing at all for the entire duration of their stay.

Breakfast buffet is well worth getting up for

A significant number of travellers have reported very good things about the generous and really quite tasty Western/Japanese buffet breakfasts proffered here. Apparently, the Japanese option offers the greater taste sensations of the two.

Negative Reviews

Location isn't the best

In addition to being quite a way out from the city centre, numerous visitors have lamented the fact that there isn't that much to see or do in the area around the hotel, and that decent restaurants are pretty few and far between.

Guest rooms are pretty small

It is fair to say very few guests have been impressed by the somewhat diminutive size of the accommodations. Evidently, you don't get much ‘bang for your buck' — at least in terms of size — when staying here.

Interiors are in need of an update

Many travellers have bemoaned the state of the hotel's rather tired interiors. Stained carpets, damaged walls and worn furnishings are just a few of the most commonly highlighted issues.
