Positive Reviews

Small, Quaint, Historic

The hotel is small, quaint, and efficient, for what it's worth. The comfort level will depend upon your needs when traveling. The building is old and it shows; however, it has a historic and distinctive ambiance.

Friendly Enough

The staff is friendly, depending on whose at the reception. Staff, in the know, have a wealth of information and history of the area if you have the time to listen.

Location The Best Part

The hotel is close to everything. It's easy to walk to a number of sights and there are plenty of restaurants in the area as well.

Negative Reviews

What A Mistake!

The hotel is historic and all that stuff, but it may be on the wrong side of history. Don't be surprised to encounter mildew smells, broken windows held together by tape, vermin, exposed wires, shower with no water pressure, dirty sheets. You can pretty much get the picture.

Strange Layout

The room layout is quite interesting to say the least. You have to walk through the bathroom area to leave another room. If you are leaving the bedroom and have to walk through the bathroom to get to the other part of the room, it makes you wonder what the architects were thinking when they designed the hotel.

Get Ready For The Noise

The hotel location is noisy. To top it off, the windows in the room may or may not close, regardless of the time of year, and you will just have to deal with it. There is continuous traffic and people of the night. It's loud and extremely busy. If you are looking for a tranquil place to chill out, this is not it!
