About Hotel Julia

Located 350 metres from Teatro Sistina, Hotel Julia was originally an 18th-century palace. A restoration process turned it into an accommodation option catering to guests since 1949.

There are 33 rooms at Hotel Julia. While staying in them, guests can watch satellite channels on the flat-screen TVs or connect to complimentary Wi-Fi. The units also have work desks. Free toiletries are provided in the private bathrooms, and guests can store valuables in the safes.

This property has a lift and allows small pets. Moreover, the hotel offers a language translation service for guests who speak English or Spanish and need assistance with Italian. An airport transport service is available, too.

Guests can enjoy the hotel's breakfast buffet daily. For later meals, they are less than 75 metres from Hostaria Romana, which serves Italian food.

Quirinal Palace, the presidential residence, is 700 metres from the hotel. Guests can guarantee their return to the Eternal City at the Trevi Fountain, a six-minute walk away.

Positive Reviews

Fantastic location in the heart of Rome

Of course it has to be the location that guests most appreciated about the Julia. It is in the very centre of tourist Rome, and guests loved that they could walk almost everywhere they wanted to be. Another benefit of the location was the shopping. The luxury Via Codotti, perhaps for window shopping, but there were also many other more reasonable options in the area.

Great restaurant recommendations

The hotel makes a specific point of offering their own local dining recommendations, and it seems these met with the guest's approval. Guests describe an absolute abundance of great dining options. They did not seem to miss not having a restaurant on-site.

Good value

A lot of guests were lukewarm about the hotel itself, but when considering their room-rate, and the perfect central location they concluded that they had received very good value indeed.

Negative Reviews

Single rooms are a bit small

While most guests are actually quite happy with their rooms, it seems that travellers who booked the single rooms are as unhappy as the others are happy. The single rooms were described as extremely small and dingy. Single travellers should seriously consider paying a little more for a double since there were very few complaints about any other rooms.

Poor sound insulation

Although guests mention that the hotel is in a remarkably quiet spot, given its central location, unfortunately some report that the rooms are not well insulated against noise from other rooms.

Somewhat tired décor

Though it was not a very common complaint, some guests did find the décor to be a bit tired, and they thought the hotel would be a lot better if it underwent a bit of a revamp.
