Homey guest rooms with TVs are available in both Western and traditional Japanese style, the latter of which feature futon beds, tatami floors and sliding doors. Most rooms require guests to use shared bathrooms; upgraded quarters provide en-suite facilities.

There are several vending machines, one of which dispenses coffee, water and green tea, free of charge. Numerous eateries are located nearby, including a tasty Italian restaurant (‘Orlando’) just two minutes’ walk away.

Positive Reviews

Pleasant and convenient setting

The vast majority of guests who stayed here really appreciated the hotel's location. The biggest draw was that, even though the property is located within a leisurely stroll of Shibuya's many shops, restaurants, bars and transport hubs; it is set in a very quiet street far removed from the crowds and traffic.

Property is supremely clean throughout

Many visitors have observed that the interiors (and the garden area) here are kept in immaculate condition, and that the property as whole always looks and feels supremely fresh and clean as a consequence.

Receptionists are friendly and hospitable

It seems most of the individuals who keep things ticking over at the reception desk genuinely enjoy the work they do. Indeed, numerous guests have drawn attention to the hospitable and consistently outgoing approach of the friendly folk working here.

Negative Reviews

Shared bathrooms aren't popular

Whilst travellers staying in upgraded rooms were happy enough with their en-suite bathrooms, numerous guests staying in standard rooms didn't appreciate the concept of having to share facilities at all.

There's no lift

It's not uncommon for older properties in Tokyo to be without a lift. That being said, it's clear very few visitors appreciated having to drag their luggage up the stairs to reach the upper-floor rooms.

Hotel can be hard to find at first

Because this hotel is tucked away down a back street in a relatively out-of-the-way area, finding it can be quite a challenge. Many travellers have suggested using GPS, especially if you haven't visited Tokyo before.
